2008 Turkey Hunt #1

This was the first time I went Gobbler hunting for myself. Ty came with me and helped me call in some Turkeys. We never got a shot by calling them in though. So we decided to drive to another area and saw a bunch from the road. We parked and backtracked around a ridge and snuck up to them on our bellies. It was about a 30 yd shot and the rest of the story is that we had an excellent Turkey dinner the next day :-) He was 25 lbs.

They have amateur nights on Fridays sometimes. This is the first one I went to. It was a blast! There's nothing much better than wide open throttle for 13 seconds and reaching over 100 mph. Unless, of course, you can do it in a shorter amount of time :-)

The camera woman (who shall remain nameless) has a lot to learn about the concept of "steady shooting". And I was playing around with video editing software. So keep that in mind as you watch. Enjoy!

P.S. The last race on tape was against a Shelby GT 500. I smoked him off the line but lost by 6 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile. For those who are "speed challenged" that car has 500 horsepower. That's at least 3 times more power than most cars and much more than my Subie.
