Drag Racing @ Texas Motorplex

They have amateur nights on Fridays sometimes. This is the first one I went to. It was a blast! There's nothing much better than wide open throttle for 13 seconds and reaching over 100 mph. Unless, of course, you can do it in a shorter amount of time :-)

The camera woman (who shall remain nameless) has a lot to learn about the concept of "steady shooting". And I was playing around with video editing software. So keep that in mind as you watch. Enjoy!

P.S. The last race on tape was against a Shelby GT 500. I smoked him off the line but lost by 6 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile. For those who are "speed challenged" that car has 500 horsepower. That's at least 3 times more power than most cars and much more than my Subie.

In my defense, the camera was not mine, so it was the first time using it. Also, it was very small & hard to handle/keep steady. Sorry to anyone who got dizzy watching the video! ;)

Not so nameless anymore, unfortunately. :D
